These are the coolest activities for kids while in residence at hotels in Central London.
Madame Tussauds is one of the most unique museums in London. This attraction showcases around 150 waxwork figures of celebrities, public figures, and fictional characters. Divided into such categories as the Royals, Marvel, and athletes, you’re guaranteed to spot plenty of familiar faces. While some interactive parts of the exhibition are geared toward older kids, there’s plenty of scope for younger children at this attraction.
London Zoo is a safe option for teeny tots through to young teenagers. The zoo is home to animals including big cats, reptiles, giraffes, and birds from all corners of the globe. During your visit, you will get up close to the creatures and watch scheduled feedings. For an even more immersive experience, you can arrange for your child to work as a Junior Zookeeper for the day.
Located on the Southbank, the London Eye is one of the best places to go for panoramic views. All capsules are fully enclosed, resulting in a safer experience for younger children or those fearful of heights. Each ride lasts 30 minutes and grants views of the Thames, Tower Bridge, Westminster, and more. Tickets do sell out so remember to pre-book tickets at the same time as searching for deals at hotels in Central London.
Created for children aged 4 and upwards, KidZania is a “city” at Westfield Shopping Centre where children can play, socialise, and broaden their minds. The attraction consists of 60 role-play stations where kids can “work” as pilots, spies, vets, firefighters, DJs, and much more. At the same time, they will learn about how the economy works and how to function within a team.
Children will eat well in London, with many chain eateries providing a dedicated children’s menu and activity sheets. Remember to save money by starting your day with a continental breakfast at Central Park London.
This restaurant next to Piccadilly Circus is first and foremost for kids. Complete with rainforest-inspired decor and aquariums, the space is dotted with lifesize figurines of animals. The adventurous kids’ menu focuses on comfort food with healthy sides and tasty desserts. Kids receive a bundle of activity sheets while parents can relax with a cocktail.
This West End bowling alley supplies entertainment, food, and family bonding all in one go! Toddlers are welcome to have a go at bowling with the help of ramp assists while the ice rink has skate aids. The diner serves vegan and meat-based burgers, hot dogs, and fried chicken with a separate menu for kids. Guests of Central Park London will be delighted to hear the venue is within walking distance.
